simon pegg terminal interview

Simon Pegg‘s charisma helps subvert expectations in Vaughn Stein‘s directorial debut, Terminal, a twisty crime movie with a fairy tale aesthetic. The actor and writer completely plays against type with his performance as Bill, a dying man who ends up in a diner heavy on neon lighting with the mysterious Annie (Margot Robbie). For Pegg, Bill is a deeply stark contrast to his past characters.

Simon Pegg is currently shooting a movie in Los Angeles, titled Lost Transmissions, so we recently had the opportunity to sit down with him to discuss Terminal, which co-stars Mike Myers in a similarly unexpected role. When Myers was cast after Pegg signed up, the Shaun of the Dead star thought, “This is like comedy people suddenly going very dark.” In our full interview, Pegg also told us about acting with Myers, his work on major franchises, his thoughts on method acting, and making his directorial debut later this year.

Tom Cruise is famous for pulling off some impressive stunts in many of his movies. But when it comes to the Mission: Impossible franchise, he pulls out all the stops. As a new Mission: Impossible – Fallout featurette illustrates, this latest adventure is no different.

A new Mission Impossible Fallout helicopter stunt video arrived today showing the lengths to which Tom Cruise has gone to make one particular action sequence in the action adventure sequel more believable. The 55-year old actor took the time to learn how to expertly fly a helicopter so he could be in the cockpit, all by himself, during a chase sequence through the mountains. The maneuvers he pulls off are unbelievable for someone who hasn’t trained as long as a professional pilot. Read More »

mission impossible fallout

Someday, Tom Cruise will do what all humans eventually get around to doing and shuffle off this mortal coil. But the ongoing existence of the Mission: Impossible movies suggest that he’s made a pact with Death itself and will outlive most human beings. How else can you explain him continuing to stare mortality in the face, put his hands on his hips, and laugh in the general direction of God himself?

A new look at a Mission: Impossible – Fallout stunt is the latest reminder that Tom Cruise fears not death nor dismemberment nor bodily harm of any kind. The rest of us can only stare at this image and wince because there’s no way we’d survive this shit.
