Guardians of the Galaxy Song in Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War may have been just dethroned from the top of the box office by Deadpool 2, but fans are still talking about the Marvel Studios sequel. That includes sending questions to director James Gunn, since he was consulted about how the Guardians of the Galaxy were utilized throughout the movie. One question has been thrown his way a number of times, and he wanted to make sure everyone got the answer.

When the Guardians of the Galaxy are introduced in Avengers: Infinity War, they’re flying across space to answer a distress call. While the rest of the movie only uses Alan Silvestri’s score, this particular sequence starts off with the crew listening to “Rubberband Man” by The Spinners from the Zune that Star-Lord was given at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. But there were a few other options that could have been used for this sequence.  Read More »

Deadpool 2 Score

This week already brought us the gem that was a Deadpool 2 music video featuring Celine Dion belting out an incredible ballad that wouldn’t be out of place on the soundtrack for a sweeping, epic romance. But instead, it’s the breakout single from the Deadpool 2 soundtrack, and it’s one of the funniest music videos I’ve seen in awhile. However, the Deadpool 2 score isn’t going to take this lying down.

Sony Classical has announced the release of the Deadpool 2 score: next week, just one week before the movie hits theaters. Under normal circumstances, this would be business as usual, but the Deadpool 2 score isn’t your average composition for a motion picture. Instead, the music composed by Tyler Bates has become the first score to earn the famous Parental Advisory warning parents that their children might hear some naughty language while listening to the album in question. deadpool 2 celine dion

Deadpool can do everything Celine Dion does, but backwards and in heels. Actually, scratch that, because no one can hold a candle to that Canadian pop queen, though Deadpool does a pretty mean interpretative dance in the music video to her song for the Deadpool 2 soundtrack, “Ashes.”

A Deadpool 2 music video has been released by 20th Century Fox, and it will make your heart go on. Celine Dion looks radiant singing the soaring lyrics to “Ashes,” an inspiring power ballad that seems like it would have little to do with the tongue-in-cheek superhero satire. Until, that is, Deadpool waltzes onstage clad in high heels.

Ready Player One Music Video

There are less than three weeks until Ready Player One brings Ernest Cline‘s nostalgic pop culture mash-up to the big screen, courtesy of director Steven Spielberg. The movie had its world premiere at the South by Southwest film festival last night, and for all the fans of the book who can’t wait to see the movie, we’ve got something that should hold you over.

The British synthwave band GUNSHIP recently released a music video for their new song “Art3mis & Parzival,” and as you might have guessed, it features the two characters from Ready Player One on their journey through the story and their blossoming love for each other both inside and outside the virtual world of The OASIS. Adding to the nostalgia is that it’s all done in 16-bit animation paying tribute to various video game styles throughout. Read More »
