Back to the Future Children's Book

We’ve seen the likes of Home Alone turned into a children’s book, and we’ve also seen Die Hard made to look like a children’s book that is expressly for adults. Now it’s time for another favorite movie of ours to get the children’s book treatment, and this one is totally safe to read to your kids at bedtime.

A Back to the Future children’s book has just been released, written and illustrated by Kim Smith. It’s quite the adorable adaptation of Robert Zemeckis‘ beloved sci-fi adventure, and it just might make the prospect of incest a little easier to explain to your kids (but probably not). Read More »

Deadpool DVD Covers

The marketing for the entire Deadpool franchise has been positively brilliant. In fact, the promotion for the first movie was so good that Deadpool ended up winning an award at the 45th Annual Clio Key Art Awards, honoring the best in marketing every year. And the latest stunt to promote Deadpool 2 just might end up solidifying another win this year.

While we’ve seen countless trailers, TV spots, posters, cross-promotions and television stunts, a new Deadpool 2 promotion on the shelves selling movies on Blu-ray and DVD takes the cake. 20th Century Fox has given the slip covers for a 16 of their library titles a Deadpool 2 makeover. It’s just the kind of obnoxious thing that Deadpool would be responsible for. Read More »

hayao miyazaki prints

There’s nothing as magical as watching a Hayao Miyazaki film, and letting it transport you to a fantastical world where dragons soar and castles walk. But a Hayao Miyazaki print done in the style of Japanese woodblock prints may just come close.

For a limited time, Japanese woodblock-style prints of Studio Ghibli movies directed by the legendary anime filmmaker are available to purchase. But better snatch them up quick, because like a certain antique grandfather clock in Whisper of the Heart, at the stroke of midnight, they may disappear.

Goosebumps Horror Movie Mash-Up

For children of the 1990s, the best thing in school was getting the order pamphlet for new books from the Scholastic Book Club. That’s because they almost always featured the latest in R.L. Stine’s ongoing horror book series Goosebumps. There were dozens of books released under the banner with several other books spinning off from the primary line-up. Now one artist has taken the iconic Goosebumps book covers from that decade and mashed them up with some of your favorite horror movies.

Check out the Goosebumps horror movie mash-ups below. Read More »
