Designated Survivor Renewed

Last week brought dozens of cancellations by TV networks clearing the path for new shows hitting the air for the new 2018-2019 television season. Brooklyn Nine-Nine was lucky enough to be saved with a last minute renewal, and now one more has been given a new lease on life after being canceled.

Designated Survivor is an ABC drama following Kiefer Sutherland as Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member in the United States government who is suddenly appointed President of the United States after a catastrophic attack on the US Capitol during the State of the Union. With his new responsibilities, he had to keep the country and his own family from falling apart, while navigating the highly-volatile political arena and while leading the search to find who is responsible for the attack.

The series lasted just two seasons before being canceled by ABC last week, but now production company eOne is in talks with Netflix about the political thriller getting picked up for another season. However, it’s not a done deal yet. Read More »

The comedian will be appearing as the Spaceballs bad guy Dark Helmet, a parody of Star Wars villain Darth Vader, on tonight’s episode of The Goldbergs on ABC. But if you don’t usually watch that show, you don’t have a DVR, and you’re not going to be around to see it, we’ve got you covered.

A clip from The Goldbergs featuring Rick Moranis as Dark Helmet has surfaced online. Rick Moranis The Goldbergs

After establishing himself as one of the most beloved actors of the 1980s and ’90s, Ghostbusters and Honey I Shrunk the Kids star Rick Moranis took a lengthy break from acting and largely stepped out of the limelight, raising his children after his wife’s death and being more choosy about the projects in which he appears. He went back to his roots and reprised his role of Bob McKenzie for an SCTV reunion show last year, and now we’ve learned he’ll be reprising another of his famous roles again very soon.

A new reports says that Moranis will play Dark Helmet, his character from Mel Brooks’s 1987 Star Wars comedy spoof Spaceballs, on an upcoming episode of the ABC sitcom The Goldbergs. Read more about the Rick Moranis The Goldbergs guest appearance below.
